I’m traveling this weekend and in the Harper’s Ferry, West Virginia area. Really the other side of the hill but it’s not a separate zip code.
And dropped my wife Lanna at her conference.
And then I decided to explore was deciding between Harper’s Ferry and Antietam. I went with Antietam while changing my mind on the highway which is not recommended.
And I found a lovely general store in lovely Shephardstown, West Virginia. She mention an Irish music jam later. I got to hear some I love the sound of hammer dulcimer.
Or the delight to realize I usually don’t deal with people who think the Confederacy was right and Lincoln was wrong. Reminder to the future is someone has a Confederate flag hat with “Heritage, Not Hate” DO NOT ENGAGE!
Or a cool sign saying to just use the bathroom and wash your hands. Gender doesn’t need to be on the door for a toilet and a sink in a room.
Or a very nice guy at the beer store next door. I wanted to get some local beers while I am here.
Shepardstown, West Virginia is super nice, I could totally see living there.
And I love the small wonderful things you find traveling and exploring.
