Today’s post is not maniacal at all, even though it’s Monday.
My mother-in-law’s best friend Dot Mithee is a cancer patient, going through several rounds of chemotherapy and radiation.
Because of this she is losing her hair.
She asked someone to shave her head on Christmas Eve.
My brother in law had the clippers, but I was the only one brave enough to do it.
I started a little afraid. I haven’t cut hair before.
The comb even though it was short was getting stuck in the fine hair.
Eventually I took the attachment off to shave closer, and started to trust myself more.
Dot’s trust of my abilities made me feel better, and I felt of service.
And now she has less hair to worry about.
I also got the chance to do some energy work, which felt amazing too.
Glad I volunteered, it felt wonderful. I felt grateful and so did Dot.
Here is my wife’s post about it on Christmas Eve with pictures.
