FollowAs my wife Lanna well knows I have many Trivial Pursuits. Genus, 80s, Millenium Edition, 20th Anniversary, Sports Edition .. Genus is easily the best.
And I was raised to know all sorts of crazy facts by my parents. My dad a Ph.D. in Agronomy from the University of Wisconsin, who actually read the entire World Book Encyclopedia while in High School. My mom with wide ranging interests in economics and non-fiction, and a MA in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania.
We grew up playing games of Trivial Pursuit, and learning all sorts of facts.
So it’s no surprise that I love trivia today. Tonight me and Lanna, played Buzztime Trivia at Buffalo Wild Wings. Good group tonight there but finished 1st in two games of countdown (once on the last question) and 2nd in the Glory Daze game. A good showing. I enjoy having wings and being competitive with my wife, and the atmosphere there is they don’t have the sound set to 11 for sports events.
I have also won tons of pint glasses and other random stuff on Monday night at Slainte (although it’s been a while). A definite fun night on Preble Street.
I am quite good at trivia, too bad it’s not a job skill.
Feeling like I should try out some of the other games in town. I heard the one at RiRa is super competitive.
I just enjoy trivial things, and learning random stuff.
