Turns out that Amazon’s biggest purchase this Christmas was the Amazon Alexa Dot. For $30-$50, it’s a fun gizmo.
Our friend Melissa bought one for us last Christmas. And we have mainly used it as a timer and for music since. Lanna also bought one for her office.
Over Christmas we played Holiday favorites a lot. It’s nice to be able to say “Alexa next song.”
My wife’s favorite station is funky soul classics. Mine is 80s pop. Today at lunch Lanna said play music and it chose 70s country. Which is the music that Lanna grew up with in Central Maine.
I played a bunch of music on the Alexa tonight while playing the game I am addicted to right now Final Fantasy XV. I played 70s country, 60s country and 50s country. All of which were great. It makes you wonder what happened with modern country. Or as I call it pop with a twang. I also played soul music. Sitting with my cat in the armchair, listening to music and playing a fun game is super nice.
I actually forgot completely about the college football semifinal games. Both of which I’m sure were better than the Eagles-Cowboys game yesterday.
Happy New Year!
