One thing I definitely spent a lot of time doing in 2017 was looking at Facebook and Twitter, opening links and being outraged.
It’s exhausting and mostly pointless. And sometimes the click bait is for incredibly minor things.
I need to waste less time on it.
John Green mentioned in one of his Vlogbrothers videos that he wants to spend less time on Facebook being outraged about things in 2018. I do too.
It’s not good for the spirit. There is a lot we unfortunately can’t change. Certainly not with sharing click bait articles. Some of which have dubious facts and conclusions.
Better to do most anything else. Read a book, play a game, watch sports, walk, volunteer, go out to eat, visit a park or pet a cat.
So far part of the reason I have used Facebook less is I have spent more time on the Final Fantasy XV game on my phone. But, I really don’t need to know everything. And sometimes with “news” like the cable news networks you can really know less. Not everything is important.
Except feeding and petting the cat, that’s critical.
