My goal on Goodreads this year was to average a new book a week or 52 books a year. I hit 99. I was tempted to fudge it an break out more separate books from Francesca Lia Block’s “Dangerous Angels: The Weetzie Bat Books”. I did rate “Weetzie Bat” and the whole five book series. I could also rate each individual book.
If our friend Melissa brought her son Isaiah, I would have read to him tonight and rated the books. I like rating things.
Last year around this time, I talked about the five star books I read in 2016. I may do that again soon. “Dangerous Angels”, “Constance” poetry by Jane Kenyon and Neil Gaiman’s amazing “The Sandman” series were some my favorite books this year.
Reading is awesome. Especially on a beautiful day. Reading on a quiet night on a lit porch as the moon blazed over the lake in the Berkshires this October was especially perfect.
After all reading is FUN-da-mental.
