I just watched the Formula One Australian Grand Prix on DVR, and it was honestly pretty boring. Not that many passes, victory came from pit strategy. Honestly, in Formula One the qualifying is more interesting than the race.
NASCAR has tons of strategy and passing. Also multiple ways to win. Yes, qualifying well helps but you can still win with car trouble and starting in the back of the pack.
I really enjoy it and I also enjoy stage racing new this year. The cautions coming out also provides extra strategy.
The Formula One race was relatively boring in comparison. You certainly can’t have the close racing and bumping you can have at a short course like Martinsville.
I wish I went to Beech Ridge in Scarborough, Maine to check out some races when I lived close. I should see what tracks are in Connecticut too. And make sure to bring earplugs.
