Just got back to Maine after 4 days in PA. Ok 3 days, and today just a travel day back.
For instance while 2011 was a Year of Creativity for me, and 2012 was the Year of Spirit, was thinking 2013 will be the Year of Acceptance.
2012 has been a very, very challenging year. Lost my father in law to cancer in March. Dad’s got a new major brain tumor in late August.
Gone from major brain surgery to rehab, to skilled nursing and now home hospice.
Had some good words of my advice from my brother in law. Sometimes you just got to deal and do it. It’s humbling and sad to be cleaning my dad’s and wiping my dad’s butt. It just doesn’t feel right.
But, he is now acknowldiging that his left side doesn’t work. That wasn’t the case earlier in the week.
And there is something good about being humbled. I would love to be closer to assist more (live 8 hours away) but so it goes.
Glad I got a few days to visit. I didn’t sleep well at all. Also glad I have a day off to be mellow before going back to work. It should be an adventure.
Don’t forget to tell your loved ones and friends that you love and appreciate them.
Blessings to all this holiday season, whether your 2012 has been wonderful, tragic, both or just a crazy adventure.
Peace in this time of the short day.
