Was thinking of two other posts today .. an April Fool (About being a fool) and Quarter-Year Review (My year in spirit 3 months in .. might be a bit soon with Walter Maheux’s recent death.)
Today was the first day I was back in church, was just too tired last Sunday.
Went to First Parish UU on Congress St. in Portland, and the sermon about Hinduism was interesting, but I mainly realized how scattered I am. I have been very sleepy, and worn out all week. I didn’t expect that. This is the first time I saw someone die which I consider a gift honestly.
And I did share that my father-in-law died on Sunday .. and that his last words were: “Don’t think I don’t notice all the angels around me. Family, that’s what’s important.” and “I love you all.”
It doesn’t get any better than Walter Maheux. I miss him, I’m scattered, and don’t think the pain is going away quickly.
