I’ve considered taking classes in nursing for years actually.
I looked into the APRN in Psychiatry program at the Yale School of Nursing, but doing everything in a year to become an RN just seems like too much. And the full three year program is very expensive.
So one of my friends at work who is an RN suggested an AA program which is far, far cheaper. And I am going to look into it. Although I may have to retake some stuff like chemistry.
I did send an email to the program director at Naugatuck Valley Community College in Waterbury, Connecticut. And I will see how it goes from there. I may need to take anatomy very soon too. We will see how it goes.
