I love David Attenborough’s voice and total joy on the BBC Earth documentaries. And it’s one of the voices that can make my wife Lanna nap. We are going to miss him when he’s gone.

I was watching “Westworld” with Lanna tonight and I remarked how much better it was than “Solo.” And it’s an epic in a way that television can get over dozens of hours that a two hour film can’t. Shows like “The Wire” also can get there.
What is some of your favorite epic television?
I definitely crashed today after enjoying the Northeast Fire and Arts Festival in Oxford, Connecticut yesterday.
I think I needed it. Was good to take PTO today so I could be out until 1am yesterday.
And I think I needed the naps too.
Was super hot today at the Northeast Fire and Arts Festival in Oxford, Connecticut today. Then it rained hard. I found out my Swiss Army book bag stays pretty dry. But my camp chair definitely stays pretty wet.
But it’s much cooler now. And the water brings the green.
I’m reading Roald Dahl’s “Going Solo” about working in Africa after college and being a fighter pilot with the Royal Air Force in World War II. We are very lucky he survived crashing in Libya and being one of twelve RAF pilots vs. half of the German air force/Luftwaffe in Greece. He so easily could have died and we wouldn’t have Willy Wonka, the BFG or James and the Giant Peach.
And then you have Kurt Vonnegut surviving Dresden, which help inspire my favorite book “Slaughterhouse Five.”
It make you wonder who did die in war that could have changed the world.
