On one of my favorite shows, the ESPN sports show PTI, Michael Wilbon often teases Tony Kornheiser about only having one TV.
Tonight there were four things I wanted to watch: Golf, NASCAR, Tennis and the NCAA tournament.
With the DVR, I was able to watch it all on one tv. I only watched a little bit of the golf and used the ESPN ticker to see how it was going. I watched a good amount of the third set and the end of the second set of Juan Martin Del Potro beating Roger Federer at Indian Wells. Late in the match I used the remote to hide the ticker with NASCAR results.
After tennis, I watched the last fifty laps of the NASCAR race on delay. While watching that I was keeping an eye on the NCAA tournament and saw Nevada was coming back against Cincinnati so I taped the last three minutes of Nevada’s huge comeback.
I would rather concentrate on one thing at a time anyway.
And I got some great sports time in.
I also caught some of the conversation with Kobe and Shaq on NBATV and a bit of the women’s NCAA tournament too. Good times.
This really is one of the best times for sports all year, at least for me.
