I finished Sherman Alexie’s excellent “The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian” yesterday. It was funny, touching, emotional and real. Also the drawings really added to the story. I then went on Biblio CT for the Connecticut library system and reserved a bunch more of his works.
This is a pretty rare thing for me. It happened with Kurt Vonnegut and “Cat’s Cradle” a few years ago which was a wonderful journey. Also to a lesser extent with “Constance” by Jane Kenyon, I am still reading “Otherwise” and have another book of hers to read. A fourth author would be Cristin O’Keefe Aptowicz after reading “Hot Teen Slut.” It’s a wonderful feeling to want to read all the things.
