I have a gospel show tomorrow where I’m supposed to wear all black.
I have the pants, shoes and socks but did not have a black collared shirt.
First, I went to the third generation local men’s shop Secomb’s. Very nice there but the black shirt they had was 18 neck, 32/33 inseam. I got measured for 19 and 37.
Target had a XXL shirt that wasn’t just slim fit but very slim fit, fit more like a vest. Pass.
I then had to go to the mall and the had one with a tie for $25 at Sears. It fit okay but felt weird sitting there with all of the trash. She thought it was a return. And for some reason she needed to override for the sale and I had to join the Sears Club. Which of course isn’t listed anywhere there. Sears finds new ways to be annoying all the time.
I then found the discount men’s shop in the mall that had plenty of shirts in my size and even bigger. The 3xl was $20, the 4xl which I might try on another day was $27. I found the tie I tried on made my shirt awfully tight.
I’m not sure why we often procrastinate on purchases like this but it’s definitely a thing.
I am all set for tomorrow’s concert. I hope some of it is recorded so I can share it. It’s sounded absolutely beautiful in practice.
