First, I did get to work safely and mostly on time. If not on time to make coffee.
So left the door at 5:30 expecting to scrape the car and have a show commute in.
I didn’t expect to not be able to open the door even with the key. Eventually I was Annie to open the passenger door, but then I couldn’t get the car started.
So I was finally and to open the driver door and did get the car started. Then the scraping could begin which was icy and annoying.
The roads were slick so I drove very slow. And of course had followers in their SUVs, my 1999 Mercury Sable isn’t exactly a great snow car.
I did slip on Spring Street crossing 22 after a red light and got passed in the right. The traffic light collectors with an extra lane on the right are a terrible idea. Good job by the Maine DOT on that decision. Nothing is safer than passing in the right on a 35 mile an hour road.
Keep going slow worried about a red on the Pleasant Hill road intersection but get through and the Target hill over 95 I got over. Southborough Drive of course was terrible as expected.
Backed up crooked, but wasn’t about to fix when I had issues getting the key out of my car. The key was a little wet, I hope I didn’t damage the starter.
Wheeeee! I hope the drive home is better.
p.s. Even stranger yesterday I drove with my scarf 80% out of the car. Some days are weird.
