Inspired by John Hodgeman on the Daily Show:
We are the 1%
We gather interest
We hold self-important parties
We lobby Congress for ever lower taxes.
We get tax breaks.
Just by threatening to move anywhere, and going for the highest bidder.
Payroll taxes … Most are capped at just over $100,000 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Payroll_tax
Income taxes are irrelevant if you make you money in interest or the stock market.
I understand times are tough.
So only got 1 Rolex this year, instead of 5.
Decided to improve my house instead of get a new one.
It’s much more important to cut government in a time of crisis.
We need the money from those bombers, we need to make money from war.
Deficits don’t matter if my bank statement, keeps growing.
We like how it’s going.
Oh and thanks for the bailout.
We are the 1%.
