I have known my wife Lanna since January 2003 when we met in New York City.
Since then we haven’t spent that much time apart, especially when one of us wasn’t home.
This weekend though we were called to two very different gatherings.
Lanna to Feast of Lights in Holyoke, MA with a bunch of her friends and a chance to reconnect.
I wanted to go to First Light Men in Walpole, ME and spend time with some guys I haven’t seen in a while.
Lanna’s was the bigger event, my men’s gathering was about 15 men of various ages in a beautiful place by the water. There was excellent food, wonderful music, great laughs and wonderful companionship.
I was thinking about writing about men’s spirituality before I left today, but realized there was something nice about being apart for a few days, and having the chance to miss each other.
When you spend lots of time together, you get used to having the other person always there, without you realize how much you really love someone.
I love you, Lanna Lee! Looking forward to seeing you back home in a couple hours.
