Hotels – Places of Transition

My wife Lanna loves hotels, they just make her happy.

I thought that when I went for my MBA that consulting sounded like it would be amazing, getting to travel all around and see places. I love to visit places, but hotels, I find them strange and transitional places. I feel like they are full of ghosts.

Weirdest experience I had with this was at a small hotel on the 2nd floor in Southwest Harbor, ME (near Bar Harbor) .. Woke up around 3am, and it felt like it was full of ghosts. Of course it is possible I was just weirded about by the tanning beds here but it felt strange.

I also love my nest. Having my stuff around, having my bed, having my cats, books, computer …

It’s weird, I love to travel, I love to be places, but hotels I have always just found them strange.

Anyone else feel the same?

Just worked all day and tired.

But I did see quite possibly my favorite cat video of all time this week from Lanna, Henri 2, Paw de Deux.

I just love it, and works so well with the feline attitude.

Here you go:

And here is the original, not quite as good, but still pretty fun.

Fin.
