Top Hat **** and Tacos

So today is National Taco Day and since I made tacos yesterday I had to enjoy. Mmmm tacos. Tacos are cool.

And I finally finished a movie started when we first got Amazon Prime on the PS3 several months ago: “Top Hat.”

I wanted to watch it a while ago but we haven’t had the chance to watch it together or thought of it until tonight.

It is one of the great musicals of the Golden Age of Musicals in 1935 back when RKO was making movies. Just great stuff, makes you smile, great dance numbers, wonderful songs and minor peril.

If you have never watched studio musicals you should catch up.

Loved it. Great actors in large and small parts. Just wonderful. “I am Bendini.”

Most Favored Human

Got back from Pennsylvania today.  Dad improved greatly yesterday, I think switching to Depakote from Cepra helped a lot.  His spirits still aren’t always great, but right now his mind is ahead of his body.  Also looking like he will be back in inpatient rehab soon.

Came home today to Squiggy having a bad kitty cold and sneezing a lot.  Lenny had it last week and seems better so not that worried.

The kitties have been hovering around me, I don’t think they approved of me leaving again Saturday.

Both laid with me as I read (Moneyball) and napped today, and they were both inbetween my legs on the easy chair.  They haven’t done that since they were kittens.

Hoping to get a game of golf in that I can’t afford tomorrow if my foot cooperates.  May just pitch and putt over at Gorham Country Club.  Could use the time outdoors after a very tough September.

Better Day

Today was a better day for dad.

His spirits are up.

Glad to have me and Lanna there.

Also had some yummy Middle Eastern food today at a place called Alladin in Allentown.

I will definitely get some of the appetizers at Middle Eastern places today.

The entrees are not the way to go, good but much more expensive.

Hopefully dad keeps improving.
