So did my #FridayReads post on Wednesday but I am attending one of my favorite events of the year, Boskone in South Boston (Westin Waterfront Hotel) this weekend.
It is easily the most literary of the science fiction conventions I have attended and is the New England Science Fiction Association annual convention.
There are amazing panels, good camadarie, a fun gaming room (first played my favorite Dominion here), an excellent art show, and even a con suite with drinks and snacks (a wonderful thing).
So if you are geeky and interested in Science Fiction check it out. It also runs a little older, average age of attendees is around 45 and there is much, much less cosplay (ie dressing up as characters) then Arisia or PortCon. Worth checking out and a wonderful weekend.
Check it out! Here is a schedule of events:
There are often multiple panels going at the same time, and I have never run into lines, there is a reason most of the attendees have been going for years.
