I’m getting two pairs now a regular pair with my astigmatism and amblyopoia/lazy eye. And one for reading.
The first time I ever got reading glasses was 18 months ago. Each eye was up 0.5. Now it’s up 1.0, which is a large difference.
The reading glasses definitely help us close like while I am blogging on my cell phone right now or reading. But, things look foggier in the near distance. It’s different.
My guess is bifocals are in my future. My optometrist said when switching gets too annoying to get one pair with bifocals. I could see that in the future.
But, I am happy to get new glasses. And there are definitely some pairs I will have to get rid of in the future. Like cellphones, I rarely donate or get rid of my old pairs. This may make sense for my last prescription but it definitely doesn’t make sense for old prescriptions.
New glasses, yay! Also very happy with the optician at Sears Optical, hiding behind appliances on the first floor of the Connecticut Post Mall in Milford.
