Went to Goodwill to drop off some clothes today, and looked through some golf clubs.
Got a 5 metal, pitching wedge (Ping Eye), a putter and a gap wedge (which I didn’t have). Spent 10 bucks which is not bad.
The snow is melting.
The mud is coming.
And in a month or so can get back on the course.
I am amazed how much I enjoy golf. It’s just a good time. Frustrating with the occasional good shot.
And lowered expectations is a good thing. Looking forward to playing Gorham Country Club more this year, and believe it or not little Twin Falls Golf Club in Westbrook on Spring Street which I pass every day.
I am pretty terrible and don’t even have a handicap yet.
So if you want to walk the course (or ride I guess) looking forward to playing in Maine’s short golf season. Spring is coming, golf is too.
